Behind YOUCARE is gynecologist and Ph.D. Dorthe Snejbjerg, one of Denmark's leading practicing specialists

Dorthe owns the gynecological clinic GynCare, where every day she meets patients who suffer from discomfort and irritation in the intimate area. When seeing patients, it is often relevant to recommend good intimate care products that can prevent and relieve this discomfort.

”YOUCARE is created from my many years of experience and with the wish to make it possible for women to prioritize intimate care as a natural part of their daily care routine. As a gynecologist, I know how important it is to take good care of your intimate area. It is particularly sensitive and absolutely essential.”

Having worked as a hospital doctor, where the focus was on admission and treatment, Dorthe today focuses on how she and her patients can together prevent some of the typical conditions women experience. Dialogue and, not least, knowledge are the way forward when it comes to improving women's intimate health and breaking the many taboos attached to the intimate area.

”I am passionate about sharing knowledge, and I wish that we talk openly about the intimate area and get better at caring for ourselves. Unfortunately, I find that some women feel shame about intimate discomfort, which holds back their freedom and joy of life, and it should not be that way.”
